Rights as a Client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services
As a client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services, you are entitled to the following:
- Receive treatment with respect, courtesy, and dignity, regardless of your social status, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, political belief, mental health, or any disabilities you may have
- Obtain a clear explanation of the services you will receive and who will provide them
- Make decisions regarding the services or support you receive, including the right to decline or discontinue them
- Be involved and informed in the planning of your care
- Enjoy a secure and safe environment
- Have your privacy and confidentiality safeguarded
- Raise concerns and suggest changes without fear of retaliation, coercion, discrimination, or interference
Responsibilities as a Client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services
As a client of Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services, it is your responsibility to:
- Provide consent for us to determine and authorize services
- Notify us of any changes in your situation that may impact your goals
- Show respect and consideration to all staff, volunteers, clients, and visitors
- Provide adequate information to allow staff to provide appropriate services, advice, and care
- Participate in decisions regarding your care and ask for clarification if you are unsure about something
- Arrive on time for appointments
- Adhere to requests to wear a mask
- Respect the premises and property of the Centre
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment by reporting any unsafe conditions to staff
